ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of pregnancy complications and death for people in the U.S., according to the Cleveland Clinic. It can be difficult to spot the symptoms because many of them are similar to common pregnancy symptoms.

There are two main types of heart problems pregnant women face: preexisting heart conditions and heart conditions that develop during pregnancy.
