Glens Falls man arrested on weapon charges


GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Glens Falls man has been arrested in connection to a shooting investigation, according to police. Paris Pettiford, 37, is facing multiple charges.

On January 25, the Glens Falls Police Department executed a search warrant at a home believed to be related to a North Pearl Street shooting that took place on January 24. During the search, officers recovered an illegally owned firearm, a high-capacity ammunition feeding device and narcotics.

As a result of the findings, a warrant for Pettiford’s arrest was issued and he was taken into custody on January 26. He was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance before being remanded to the Warren County Jail without bail.

Pettiford has not officially been charged with the original shooting, but police say that at this time he is believed to have been involved in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
